And I mean that title with the utmost of respect.
I’ve been a denizen of this fair[ly crappy] city my entire life, in one way or another. I spent some time in LA during college, but don’t worry, I got over it. The one thing, though, that I’ve consistently heard from around the US is that New York is a rude city.
This is, I feel, based on a fundamental misunderstanding of what this place is.

I love how the umbrellas in Bryant Park are held open by ropes anchored on brass cleats! I don’t know how I’ve never noticed them before.
Revisiting some favorite books from my childhood: The ‘Ant and Bee’ series. I loved the illustrations back then, and they still make me happy now. Such sweet little books.

My third purchase from last week’s #elephantprops moving sale: A fun teacup and saucer. It was only after I got them home that I discovered they were part of the ‘Polka’ line of porcelain designed in 2003 by Andree Putman for Gien, a French china company!
